GGD or Vaccination Point: where is the best place to go for your travel vaccinations? Research by travel platform weflycheap shows that GGD rates can differ by region by up to \u20ac136 for exactly the same package. At Vaccinatiepunt, you pay the same price anywhere in the Netherlands and many vaccinations are also (partly) reimbursed through your supplementary health insurance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GGD rates: up to \u20ac136 difference for same package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Weflycheap surveyed the rates of all 24 GGD regions in the Netherlands for the four most common travel vaccinations: DTP, hepatitis A, rabies and yellow fever. The outcome is striking: for a full vaccination package including consultations, an adult at GGD Dordrecht will pay \u20ac463.89, while at GGD Amsterdam you will plunk down \u20ac600.00. That's 29% more for exactly the same thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For children, the difference runs as high as 30%. And for a family of two adults and two children, the bill can be over \u20ac527 higher, based purely on the region where you happen to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest outliers are with DTP, one of the most recommended travel vaccinations. There, the rate ranges from \u20ac25.24 to \u20ac56.00: a difference of 122% for the same shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
