Stay well protected during your trip to Peru

Besides getting the right vaccinations for Peru, it is important to take health precautions during your trip. For example, only drink purified or bottled water and be careful with food from street vendors. This will hopefully help you avoid gastrointestinal problems. In addition, use mosquito repellents such as DEET, especially in the Amazon and other tropical regions. This is because mosquitoes can carry diseases such as dengue and yellow fever. Wear covering clothes to protect yourself from insect bites as well as the strong sun.
