Getting started as an HBO nurse in Haarlem
As an HBO nurse at Vaccination Point, you combine substantive medical work with personal contact. From our headquarters in Haarlem, you will prepare travel advice for travellers preparing for their holiday, business trip or world tour. You assess travel routes, health risks and medical backgrounds and translate these into appropriate advice.
You will also occasionally work at one of our locations, receiving travellers, answering questions and administering vaccinations. It is precisely this combination of office work and consultation hours that makes for a lot of variety in your job.
You will work mainly during office hours and be part of a committed team of traveller medicine doctors, nurses and medical support staff. No night shifts and heavy care, but meaningful work!
This is what you will do
- Preparation of medical travel recommendations for travellers;
- Assess travel itineraries, health risks and medical backgrounds;
- Answering medical and practical questions from customers;
- Preparing and guiding travellers towards their appointments;
- Independently conduct traveller consultations;
- Administer vaccinations according to current guidelines (on site and sometimes in Haarlem);
- Processing and maintaining medical records;
- Supporting colleagues and thinking about processes at headquarters.

We are looking for you when you...
- Possess an HBO Nursing degree and are BIG-registered;
- Are strong in communication and enjoy advising people;
- Work accurately and can carefully assess medical information;
- Be able to work independently and keep an overview;
- Be flexible and enjoy working in a different location from time to time;
- Possess driving licence B (preferred);
- Be able to provide a VOG;
- Be available 24-40 hours per week.
